Cardinal Frame

I took a trip to Walmart and walked down the ornament isle and I came upon a Cardinal Ornament and I immediately knew what I wanted to do. Check it out!

Materials:
1.) Cardinal Ornament
2.)Spray Paint -Blossom White- Brilliant Blue
3.) Natural Twigs
4.)Artificial Pine Greenery, Red Berries
5.) Glue Gun, Wood Burning Tool
6.) 8×10 Canvas

Let’s get started! Using the wood burning tool start by cutting the cardinal in half. (The wood burning tool gets really hot, be careful)

Make sure you keep the other half because you can make two projects.

Spray half of your canvas with the Brilliant Blue and the other half with Blossom White.

***Remember that you don’t have to use spray paint you can use acrylic or chalk paint. If you do spray wear a mask.

With a little bit of white lightly spritz some white for snow or stars.

Now lets start glueing the sticks to your canvas, remember that your design can be done the way you want.

Once the branch is glued down then start adding some small pine sprigs to create the pine branch on the canvas.

For the pop of color use some red berries.

This next step is completely optional you do not have to use lights.

If you do use lights I simply ran them down the branch and inserted the rest under the half of cardinal.

Now glue down the cardinal onto the canvas, add glue press and hold.

If you want to add some snowflakes simply use a paint pen and draw a few, I also added some white paint to the branches and the sprig for the “flocked” look.

You are done! Voila! You have now created a beautiful one of a kind piece.

It also has night look! Simply beautiful.
