Who said placemats are just for your dinner table, take look how I made this beautiful purse.
The main materials are two round placemats one red and one blue.

Start by folding an each side of the round place mat to form an “envelope look” see below.
*** You will repeat the same step to the red round placemat.

I used hot glue to secure each fold only applying glue on the perimeter of the fold.

Once you have both place mats done you will line them up and start by sewing them using a gold elastic band and a yarn needle. You will leave one opening.

Make sure to tighten the gold band as you are sewing.

Once you finish sewing make sure each side is well secure so the gold band will not come undone.
Now you will use small gold rings to attach on each side of the purse.

Make sure the ring goes through both placemats to keep them secure.
To open up the rings use needle nose pliers.

Once you have secured both rings I added this gold chain, I made three folds to the chain. The chains will be attached to the small gold ring. Use the needle nose plies to close the ring.

One the blue side of the purse I used small rhinestones to create the star look of the star, there are 50 rhinestones and they’re glued with B7000 Adhesive.

On the opposite side of the purse I used blue painters tape to create the strips. Take a look how I got all the thirteen stripes.

Now simply use white chalk paint to pint the white stripes, I did two coats of paint.

Peel off the tape once it’s dried and use hot glue to add the fringe all around the red side to cover the stitches.

You will repeat the same step with the gold fringe on the blue side of the purse, I also added a large Totally Dazzled brooch over one of the rhinestones for a more decorative look.

To finish off the purse simply glue a purse lock found at Michaels, glue on the in side of the purse using the B7000 Adhesive.

Finally you are done! I also added another Totally Dazzled embellishment and a gold Tassle.

Enjoy! Have fun creating this and share this with your friends and family.
