Plastic Tray Bowl

You can always turn inexpensive items into classy look, I found this plastic tray

from Dollar Tree and I had an idea to turned it into a shabby sheek “platter”.

Main Materials:
1. Plastic Tray (Dollar Tree)
2. White Spray Paint (Walmart-Satin)

Start by spray paiting the tray using the spray paint ( wear a mask while spraying).

If you don’t spray paint you can use White Chalk paint.

Start by spraying the back as you see in the picture, make sure you spray two coats and let dry in between to avoid drips.

Repeat the same step, spray two coats to the front letting it dry in between to avoid drips.

The next step is using the waverly wax from Walmart.

I found its much easier if you use a wet wipe to disperse the wax all around the texture edge of the tray.

Once you have achieved the desired look let dry.

I decided to give it a second coat and got into the groves for a more defined look.

If you used chalk paint you can always seal the paint using a mod podge spray to protect the paint.
