Witches Cauldron

Only Manny Torres thinks of these ideas! Check out what I created using some Dollar Tree Items.

These are the materials you will need.⬇️⬇️

Materials:

1.) DT Round Plastic platter
2.)Hot Glue/Wood Burner Tool, Exacto Knife
3.) Medium size pumpkins (make sure its hollow and you can cut in half or you can use half of a cauldron).
4.) Spray paint- Sun Yellow/Purple Grape/canyon Black, key lime Green(optional)
5.) Small Christmas balls
6.) Plastic bats, witches brooms
7.) Fairy lights, clear or colored. I used clear lights and a light puck that changes colors.
8.) Moss is optional( it is not in the picture)

Let’s get started, I cut the top of the pumpink with my exacto knife, then I cut the pumpkin in half. P.S the knife is very sharp be very careful.⬇️⬇️

Next, i positioned my pumpkin where I wanted to place it, then on the back of the platter I traced the puck light for cutting. ( This is where you will insert your fairy lights and puck light. ⬇️⬇️

Using your wood burning tool cut out the hole, be very careful the wood burning tool gets really hot.⬇️⬇️

I added some twisted paper to the rim of the pumpkin for more character this step is optional as it will be covered with moss if you choose to use it (also optional).

Spray your pumpkin with the black color ( which I forgot to add to my picture, black chalk paint will work as well as long as you seal the paint for a shinier effect.⬇️⬇️

The key lime Green is optional as well, you don’t need to use it as this part will also be covered with moss if you choose to use it.⬇️⬇️

Spray the round platter with yellow in the center.⬇️⬇️

Using the Purple color I sprayed the around the platter ( you can use any color you want Key lime would also look good.)⬇️⬇️

Now glue your “cauldron” onto the front of the plastic plater and hold.⬇️⬇️

Wire your fairy lights though the back hole and place them where you feel it will give you the lighting effect you want and glue down.⬇️⬇️

Now you will start gluing your balls and create the “bubble” effect, you can create it to your liking.⬇️⬇️

The moss step is optional you do not need to use it, I added the moss for more texture. I glued the moss in the rim of the cauldron and under the cauldron ⬇️⬇️

Once you have added the moss to the rim of the “cauldron” and the bottom part under the cauldron its time to decorate. I used one broom which you can place on either side of the cauldron. If you notice on the picture I also added creepy branches also at DT ( I had some left overs) but you can use whatever you have and give it your own twist.⬇️⬇️

Almost there! Glue down the light packs on the back side of the platter ( I used two light strands one that’s under the bubbles and the second strand around the platter, again the second strand is optional.

Now the puck light will go on the back hole insert it half way so it will be able to be removed for battery change.

Also add some ribbon for a hanger, the hanger is optional as this piece can also be placed on a mantle using an easel.⬇️⬇️

Congratulations! You have now created a one of a kind piece. Let’s light it up! Voila! If you used a puck light then you can change the colors using the remote control.⬇️⬇️

I drew a couple of bats and an glued actual plastic bat for more dimension, these steps are optional as you will be able to change the design and give it your own spin.
