First you have to start by creating small balls of clay try not to make them to big as the clay stretches once you start to shape it.

Using your fingers you will start to press on your clay and create semi thin petal shape to avoid having thick petals.

I personally would do 13 pieces as you would need one for the center of the rose.

As you can see my pieces are not perfect as the petals of a rose are not all the same.

Tip- I would leave the petals to semi dry for at least 2-3 minutes to allow them to semi dry, if you start attaching the petals right away they will not hold their shape.

Using one of the circles start rolling it as you see below as you will use it as a base to start attaching the petals all around it.

Start attaching them one by one and don’t forget to alternate the petals as they are not in the same position.

Quick tip- you can use a skewer and insert it in the center of the flower so you can have a better grip and easily move your flower .

If you watch carefully see how I’m attaching the petals don’t forget to alternate.

You will continue to attaché the petals until you decide how wide you want your flower.

Finally you are done, you c a place the rose in a cupcake platter or insert the rose on a shot glass to not damage the petals by inserting it on the cupcake platter.

***** Allow your roses to dry at least 24 hrs. Once your flowers have fully dried then you can paint them using acrylic paint or you can spray paint them for a quick and even layer of paint.

If you want to go the extra mile simply add a stem with leafs and baby’s breath.

Tell your friends and family and sit down and create your own roses, don’t forget to follow me on Facebook and catch me Live.
