Start by drawing your pattern if you can freehand, or you can print it out and cut.

Cut it out and you will have two sides.

Once you cut it out then you will have to glue them and create a pocket as you will have to stuff it.

Stuff the gingerbread man using polyfil or if you don’t have that you can use plastic bags. Use a marker or whatever you have to stuff the gingerbread man.

Once your gingerbread is glued then you will have to paint it, I used the Chestnut Brown and sprayed the front and back side.

For a more natural look I also used the Smokey Beige and lightly sprayed it. I only sprayed the front.

For this step you will have to cut the small ornament, or if you have a round half bead you can use it as well. The wood burning tool gets very hot so be careful.

Once you have cut the ornaments in half then spray paint it with the Apple Red.
Remember that if you don’t spray paint you can use chalk/acrylic paint for this whole project.

Now you will glue the half ornament and create the gumdrop buttons.

Optional step, if you have Diamond dust and mod podge you can use it to create a “gumdrop button”
Apply a thick coat of mod podge as you will sprinkle the Diamond Dust.

Diamond Dust is crushed glass so be careful.

Using the puffy paint you will now “decorate” the gingerbread man.

Go around the gingerbread man with the puffy paint to create the frosting look all around.

Don’t forget to detail your man.

Give it some eyebrows, eyes, and a cute smile.
This one is the female gingerbread man so I added a skirt.

Now its time to create a bow

For the male version create a small bow and give him a bow tie, and for the female version give her a head bow.

The puffy paint will take 24 hours for it to dry, I carefully glued the head bow on the female without messing the paint around the head.

Then you are done! Voila! You have now created some cute gingerbread man using a recycled item.
