If you have some jenga blocks laying around then get creative and create your own patriotic cross ornaments or magnets. These are very easy to create.
These are the main materials:
1.Small jenga blocks
2.Jewerly, hot glue, or wood glue
3.Gold chain or gold elastic bands
4.Magnets
Grab three jenga blocks place the this way and glue.
The bottom part only requires two pieces, glue both sections together and let dry.
Jewerly glue usually dries quick I let mine dry for about 5 minutes.
Next you will start to attach the chains or gold elastic band.
On the top part of my cross I simply made a small hole using some scissors wide enough for both chain links to fit.
If you use the gold band you will not need a big hole.
Start by adding some jewelry glue inside the hole and insert one end of the chain, then instead the other end.
Let this dry for 5 minutes before start painting.
These are the colors I used.
I started by painting one half of my cross diagonally using the. Blue color, I only painted one side .
Next I painted the red stripes diagonally.
Finally I added the white paint
Using the metallic gold paint I painted the backside and the sides of my cross. Only the front side has color.
Using the same white paint I simply added small X”s for the stars.
Seal the paint using mod podge spray and you are done!
These are great as ornaments or you can add a magnet on the back without using the gold chain.
