Jenga blocks are not just for playing games take a look at the beautiful wall hanging patriotic cross I created.
These are the main materials:
1. Jenga blocks
2. Chalk or acrylic paint
3.Picture frames brackets

The jenga blocks come in different sizes and colors don’t worry about the darker blocks.

To create the body of the cross I used 13 blocks as these will be painted to create the stripe look.
**** Quick tip you can paint the jenga blocks in advance to make this process easier. 7Red, 6White and 12Blue.

Start gluing the blocks using hot glue, you can also use wood glue, jewelry glue or B7000-E6000

For the sides and top part of the cross you will need 4 total of 12 jenga blocks.

Im using chalk paint but you can use acrylic paint as well.

When doing this project i put the cross together first then painted the blocks one by one, you should paint the blocks first as it will speed up the process.

You can also sand off the cross once it’s all painted to give it a more rustic look if you choose to, or you can keep the solid colors.

This is the exact blue color I used for the blue part of the corss, all the jenga blocks are painted frond, back and sides.

Now it’s time to paint the stars and you can see I used a very thin brush, but you can also use a white ink pen or use rhinestones.
I was able to fit all 50 stars on my cross.

I always like to include gold when doing a patriotic project and on each side of the corss I glued small rhinestones using jewelry glue and then went over it with gold metallic paint ( 3 coats needed).

Finally when the front side of the cross is completed then you can glue (I used jewelry glue) the picture frame bracket to the back of the cross.

Fianally you have created a very special project using jenga blocks. Enjoy! Share with your friends and family.
