Tomb of Jesus

Easter is one of my favorite seasons aside from Christmas, I love to create religious pieces during this time. The tomb of Jesus is done with lots of respect and here is how you can make your own.

Main Materials:

  1. A shadowbox or frame
  2. Self adhesive rock wall tile from Dollar Tree.

If you use a shadowbox start by wiring fairy lights around the inside of the shadowbox using hot glue.

Trace a circle on the back of your wall tile as this will be the opening of the tomb.

To create a raised effect you can add beads or small wooden blocks behind the wall tile.

🎀🎀🎀YOU CAN WIRE FAIRY LIGHTS AROUND THE OPENING TO CAST LIGHT AS YOU PLACE THIS PIECE OVER YOUR CANVAS/SHADOWBOX BACKING

I didn’t have a canvas for Theo shadowbox as it was odd measurements. So I used the back of the shadowbox start, I painted it white to create a canvas effect.

Trace your wall tile circle on the back of the tile as this is where you will paint.

I decided to hand paint paint the three crosses and added a few greenery and rocks..

If you are not a painter you are able to glue an image similar to this.

Now insert the backing into the shadowbox and check the lighting.

If you don’t have a shadowbox this project is also doable using a picture frame , minus the glass.

Please share this to your friends and family and don’t forget to catch me live on Facebook.
