Christmas Garland

Hola hola! Have you seen this Christmas garlands out in the stores? Let me show you how you can create your own for this holiday season.

Main Materials:

Wooden beads-Dollar Tree

Christmas tree wood cutouts- Dollar Tree

Start by getting a strand of twine and you can choose the length size of your garland, I kept mine on a smaller scale. Next you will make a loop knot and start threading your beads.

For my garland I used large and small beads, notice how I have the larger in between the smaller beads.

Quick Tip- Paint your larger beads with the color pattern you will use before you put them on a strand.

You can also paint your main beads using the gold spray paint before you start threading.

I threaded five small beads then a larger bead. Again depending on how long you will make your garland the number of beads will differ.

Next I spray painted the beads using a metallic gold spray. If you are going to recreate my design I would suggest to spray paint these beads in advance.

Using red and green acrylic paint I painted the larger beads alternating each color.

For my main piece on my garland I chose a wooden tree and I simply used two shades of green to paint the tree. See below

I added red ornaments using red acrylic paint and a small white dot on each ornament for more detailing. Using yellow paint or a paint pen I added small dots to create a garland/light effect and also painted the star a color yellow.

Lastly thread the Christmas tree at the end of your garland and make a knot to secure it.

I hope you enjoyed this DIY and share to your friends and family this holiday season. Also don’t forget to follow me on our Facebook live shows.
