Hola hola! For this holiday season Walmart had some great decor pieces this one was one of my favorite. Take a look at how I transformed it and have it a colorful touch. You can find the item in the link below.
Main materials:
Nativity Scene
Paint 🎨

Let’s get started- I started by spray painting the outside frame of the piece using green spray paint.
Tip- You can also use chalk paint and acrylic paint instead of spray paint.

Next I sprayed the front triangular frame with a metallic gold.

The inside of my nativity I sprayed it with a black spray paint so the next colors will pop, now don’t worry about the holy family being painted with the spray paint.

Now this next step I randomly sprayed the inside using all these colors to create a “Galaxy Look”

Once you paint the inside let it dry and we will be painting the nativity piece using acrylic and chalk paint.

Using two different shades of green I created a tree branch effect on both sides of the nativity piece.

Once you finish painting the tree branches you can add red circles for ornaments.

As you can see I added a small white dot on the inside of the ornament to give it more dimension.
Using the opposite tip of a paint brush dip it in yellow paint and create a garland/light effect.

Now I used an ivory chalk paint to clean up the holy family, and using the yellow I painted the bottom base.

The star on top of the piece I simply painted it with acrylic yellow and white paint.

This step is optional as not everyone is a “painter” . I outlined the holy family as I will paint it .

I based my colors by looking at a picture on the internet, you can make it as detailed as you want.

Your piece will look different as not everyone will do this step.

Once you finish painting then I simply added pine sprigs on the bottom of the base as I will be adding poinsettias .

The lighting will also be optional and it will be done differently.
I used 4 fairy light strands, one strand is to wrap around the greenery and poinsettias. My second set was carefully glued on the back of the holy family silhouettes. My third and fourth light strands were used in the inside frame of the nativity piece carefully glued, I also left a small light strand section to bring forward in front of the star.

Finally once everything is done you can add mod podge on the star and sprinkle diamond dust for sparkle.

Hide the light strands in one of the corners inside the nativity piece.

I hope you all give this a try and share with your friends and family for this holiday season. Also don’t forget to catch me live on Facebook.
