Do not throw away your paper rolls! Here is a great idea to create handmade Christmas ornaments for you Christmas tree, great project for kids.

Materials:
1.) Paper Rolls
2.) Elastic ribbon, or any ribbon you want to use as a hanger
3.) Acrylic Paint
4.)Scissors
5.)Elmers Glue/Hot Glue
6.)Artificial Greenery

Grab paper roll and lightly squeeze it to flatten it and mark were you will be making the cut (you will be cutting top and bottom).

Once you make that cut rotate the paper roll and repeat the same cut, you will have 4 flaps.

You will repeat the same step to both sides of paper roll, basically you will be forming a small box.

Bring one flap down add glue to the top and bring the opposite flap down, finish closing the remaining two.

Repeat the same process to the bottom size and you have now created a small box.

I will be using a red to paint my small box but you can use any color you want.

Now its time to add the ribbon to the box, I will be using this elastic gold ribbon.
Wrap it around the small box and grab both ends and slightly twist and wrap around the other two sides of the box. See below.

Cut your ribbon and make a bow.

Depending on how you will be hanging your ornament you must make a small hole using some tweezers or any sharp object. I made my hole on top of the box as I want the bow to be front and centered.

I cut a piece of the gold elastic ribbon (ornament size) tied a knot and glued over the hole I created. (The knot is not inserted its basically just glued over it.)

Now you can decorate your small gift any way you want, I simply added some artificial pine and some red berries for decoration.

Using some white acrylic paint a added some small dots using a skewer.

Voila! You have now created a small cute ornament using a paper roll.
***Here is an idea—you can put some money inside and give as gift as well.

I created another blue gift and simply painted some snowflakes, tinseled ribbon and a jingle bell.
