I recently created a mini bible using a small soap box, great recycling project. I came across a small Christmas gift box at the dollar tree and it was perfect for my project so I decided to recreate my creation using one of them.

Materials:
1.) Small Christmas gift box from DT
2.Hot glue gun
3.) Exacto Knife
4.)Black waverly chalk paint, gold metallic paint-paint brushes
5.)Gold Metallic Gold paint pen
6.) Fairy lights-tea light candle
7.) Recycled plastic box (came from Christmas ball ornament plastic container)

Start by drawing a basic cross shape over the lid of the box.
*** This project can be done with a soap box.

Using the exacto knife carefully cut out the shape of the cross and clean any rough edges.

Paint the inside of the box and the lid with the gold paint.

Paint the outside of the box using the black chalk paint leaving the sides with the pages unpainted.

Paint the pages side without the Gold Metallic paint, you may need to add a couple of coats until you get the desired effect.

Using the gold paint go around the cross shape you cut and apply some gold paint for more detailing.

On the binder side of the box I also added two horizontal lines on the top and bottom side.

On the top side of your newly created bible add a smaller rentable shape using the gold paint.

And lastly add “Holy Bible”

This step will be optional if you don’t have the clear plastic.
Cut out a small piece of plastic and simply glue it to the backside of the open lid.

Now simply add the lights you can use fairy lights or you can also add a small tea light candle.

Voila! Now you have a one of a kind mini Holy bible.
PS this project was created with a lot of respect as expressed during my live show.
