Dollar Tree has some cool Halloween items, the wooden plaques are great to create unique pieces.
Materials:
1.) 2 Oval plastic platters
2.) Wooden coffin plaque from Dollar Tree
3.)Wooden Beads, marker,
4.) Wood Burner tool, Hot glue gun, Fairy lights
5.Spray Paint- Real Orange, Sun Yellow, Canyon Black.
Spray the wooden plaque with black, maybe two coats.
Spray the pumpkins with orange, don’t worry if you spray the edges of the wooden plaque.
Using the black marker follow the oval lining as you can see below, once you get toward the bottom draw some flames.
Now with the wood burning tool cut the center part, be very careful the tool gets really hot.
Grab the second platter and spay the sun yellow use two coats for more covering.
Spray the front side of the platter you cut
Spray some orange around the front side of the platter to highlight the flames ( you can use some yellow as well its up to you ).
Start gluing the beads on the back of the platter, remember the larger beads are used to glue to the back of the platter and the smaller beads are for support as you wire the lights.
Make sure the light pack is left at the bottom as it will be glued to the back of the platter.
Once you have glued the wooden plaque of the inside of the second platter (in yellow) then you will make sure the light pack is out and line the top platter and glue.
Glue the light pack on the back of the platter and glue some ribbon to create a hanger.
Now you have created a one of a kind piece! Light it up! Voila!
