Fall Wall Art

If you find your self wondering around Dollar Tree and come upon this little cute truck you have to get yourself one ! Take a look at what I created. Most of these items are from there 🙂

Materials:
1.) Round plastic platter
2.)Pumpkin wooden plaques
3.) Hot glue, wooden beads,
4.) Pumpkins, fairy lights
5.) Spray paint-Chestnut Brown, Brilliant Blue, Aqua, Canyon Black, Apple Red, Marygold Yellow, Meadow Green.
6.) Greenery ( I used what i had available, I made handmade flowers but you can use anything you want.)

Let’s get started, I created two different version. Spray half of the truck Red, the wheels black, and the bed of the truck brown. I did not paint the pumpkins because they will covered with pumpkins)

** Remember that if you do not spray paint you can use chalk paint or acrylic paint, if you do spray use a mask.

Now lets start creating our scenery, spray green half way on the platter and yellow on the lower bottom.

While i was spraying i decided to create a stencil out of card stock for mountains ( measure your cardstock to cover the radius of the platter)

If you create a stencil use the bottom part to cover the green, then spray the blue for the sky.

Now rotate the stencil and have the mountains up, line up where the mountains start agains the blue sky and spray the Aqua.

Now glue the wooden beads on the back of the truck, remember that the larger beads will be used to attach to the platter, the smaller beads are used for support when you wire the fairy lights.

** Start wiring the fairy lights from the battery pack end leaving some length to glue the light pack on the back of the platter.

As you are wiring the lights I threaded some lights through the crevices of the pumpkins as these will be used to illuminate the pumpkins.

Pumpkin time! Im using pumpkins from Dollar Tree I decided to use different sizes and colors. Glue them over the pumpkin form and create a cluster of pumpkins.

If you have some left over greenery use it to cover the small gaps, make sure the lights are still showing and arrange them for good lighting.

The extra greenery will be glued over the yellow part of the platter, I also made some of my paper sunflowers to decorate . Use what you have available. My sunflower blog is DIY Paper Sunflower.

During the process I also decided to add some clouds to my sky, i used Snow White acrylic paint.

If you have a black paint marker you can use it to personalize your truck.

The last step is to glue the light pack to the back of the platter, and if you want to add a hanger you can do so its optional as you can also set it on an easel.

Now light it up! Voila you have created a one of a kind art piece.!
