The Viral carrot butterfly created in 2024 on Manny’s Paper Fun on our Live video has gone viral! I created this beauty back in 2023 and it became a sensation. Here is how you can create your own pieces. Don’t forget to follow me for more creative ideas.
Materials:
1.)Dollar Tree wooden carrots
2.)Acrylic paint (any color you want to use)
3.)Small wooden beads
4.)Floral wire
5.)Paint Pen-Black
6.)Hot Glue
7.)Magnets

Get ready to turn these carrots into butterflies
Grab the wooden carrots and turn the upside down with the pint facing up and line up the small holes and voila you have a butterfly shape. Glue both carrots.
Start gluing the wooden beads to create the body.
Grab the floras wire and bend it to create the antennas.
Add some glue to the end of one of the beads and insert, quick tip you can add glue to the antennas to cover any sharp edges from the wire.
Using the black acrylic paint start painting the wooden beads and wire.
I used a lighter shade of pink to paint the backside.
I used the two shades of pink and white and painted the top part of the butterfly.
Make sure that the center part of your wings is a bit lighter and the edges of the wings.
Once the paint is dried then simply draw the design of the butterlfly (I used an example from google.) The paint marker can be found in Walmart.
Once you have drawn the design to one side of the wings then repeat to the other wing.
Finish it up with white paint to add on details.
I decided to make my butterflies magnets but you can also glue a wooden dowel and stick in on one of your house plants.
As you can see I made two different butterflies in different colors.
To create the side view butterfly you will also use two carrots and some materials.
Take a look below how these carrots will be placed together. Then repeat the same painting process, you may want to look on google and search for a side view of a butterfly.
