Learn how to give this flamingo zippy cup a makeover and turn it into a teacup for under 5 dollars.
Materials:
1.) Flamingo Cup From Dollar Tree
2.) Exacto Knife
3.) White chalk paint, gold metallic paint<any acrylic color paints you choose to paint your flowers.
4.)Hot glue
5.) Small wooden bead, or a decorative door knob will work.

Start by marking the neck of the flamingo depending how long you may want the spout to be.

I simply used a black permanent marker to mark my cut.

Using the exacto knife carefully cut the neck, the blade is really sharp so be careful.

Using the black marker mark where you will be inserting the beak of the flaming head and the straw. See below.

You will cut around the X very carefully using the knife or you can use the tip of the glue gun to melt it.

Insert part of the straw to the bottom part of the flamingo head as shown below and apply hot glue.

Next you will add some hot glue to the tip of the beak of the flaming head to secure and then go around the beak using hot glue to secure the head.

Insert the straw the bottom hole and start to shape the teapot handle, apply hot glue and secure.

For this part you can use a round wooden bead or you can use a decorative knob for the teapot lid.

Spray your piece using the white blossom spray paint, or you if you would like to use white chalk paint it will also work.

Using the metallic gold paint you will now paint the handle, he knob of your lid and the trim of the spout.

I decided to paint red roses but you can paint any flower or design you choose too, you can look on google to get inspired.

Voila! You have now created a one of a kind teapot under 5 dollars. If you enjoyed this project share it with your friends and family. Enjoy.
