Materials:
1.) Mini shot cups
2.)Small plastic bow
3.) Hot glue/Jewelry glue
4.)Fairy Lights
5.)Gem trim (optional)
6)Diamond Dust
7.)Mod Podge
8.) Wood burning tool

You will need 11 plastic shot cups and a plastic bowl, down below is the best way to place them to see which cups you will be making a hole using the wood burning tool.
I have marked them with a black marker also notice how the top one is laying down and you will not make a hole.

I started by making a hole on the bottom of the plastic bowl and then continue with the small shot glasses.

Make sure the hole is somewhat large since the light strands have the LED lights.

For the sides of the cross place them the same way, notice how I also marked the ones you will make a hole and the ones laying down will not have a hole.

The next step you will add mod podge on the inside part of the shot glasses and bowl since you will add diamond dust to all of them.
***The mod podge and diamond dust will give you the “glass crackle”effect.

See below how I started and then moved up to all the small glasses.

You will continue the mod podge and diamond process, make sure you tap each cup to get rid of any excess diamond dust.

To glue your cups you can use jewelry glue or hot glue to the rim of the first shot glass and glue over the bowl.

Make sure it’s well centered when gluing the shot glass over the bottom side of the bowl.

Next repeat the step by either using jewelry glue or hot glue to glue the next cup.
**** THE EASIEST WAY TO BULD UP THE CROSS IS BY GLUING THE TWO CUPS FIRST AND THEN GLUE THEM ALL IN SECTIONS, THIS WILL SAVE YOU TIME.

Also notice how the dried mod podge and the diamond dust also created a glass crackle effect.

Once you have a few shot glasses glued start inserting fairy lights from under the base. (The strand I’m using has 30 LED’s I simply folded the strand in half to shorten it).

Once you get to the center of your cross simply eyeball the strand and twist to create both sides of the cross as well as the top part, notice how I did some minimal wire twisting.

On the top section simply insert the cup with the hole and glue using hot glue or jewelry glue.

You will repeat the same step to both sides of your cross and glue to the center part of the cross.

I used both hot glue and jewelry glue for more security.

This part is optional- I had two different sparkly trims to use to c over where the cups were glued.
****By doing this step it will add more security.

I decided to glue the trim to the sections I felt needed more reinforcement.

Notice how I applied the trim to the section where the top of each cup meet, the bottom of the cup is flat so those glue better.

The sections where I glued the trim is where it will need more security.

Attach the light pack under the inside of the plastic base, I glued the battery pack from one of the sides to remove if battery needs replacement.

Finally I added an embellishment to match the bedazzled sections, again you can use whatever you have available.

Now you can light up your cross and admire the crackle glass effect.

Now you have created a one of a kind piece and you have now created a glass crackle effect. Enjoy, please share to friends of family.
